Gaza hospital comes under fire
The medical director of al-Quds hospital has not wept since he helped evacuate several hundred people from the blazing Palestinian Red Crescent compound on Thursday night, but he says: "My heart is crying."
Gaza doctor looses children... the loss grips Israelis
BBC News article about Dr Izeldeen Abuelaish, the Palestinian obstetrician who specialised in treating infertility. He was a phone correspondent during the recent crisis for a Tel Aviv TV station, giving them updates by phone. On Friday 16th, just a few days before the ceasefire, several of his daughters and relatives were killed and injured by an Israeli shell which came through the wall of his house.
Scale of Gaza destruction emerges
The full scale of devastation in Gaza following Israel's three-week offensive is becoming clear. People can no longer recognise their neighbourhoods or find the plot of ground on which their house had been built.
